Olympic-sized SuperPipe
Tamarack Resort is making another big commitment to freeriding this winter, by building and maintaining a 22-foot Olympic-sized SuperPipe for the upcoming winter season. The truly ‘Super’ pipe will be one of only a half-dozen in North America to showcase the new Olympic standard—22-foot high walls. It will play host to Olympic and X-Games medalists when the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix returns for a second year on February 9-10, 2008. More Details »
Named a Burton Learn to Ride Center
Burton’s Learn To Ride program incorporates the right equipment with proven teaching methods to make learning to snowboard easy and fun for everyone. Tamarack’s equipment for beginners is tailored by gender and age to maximize each individual’s learning potential. More Details »
Enhanced Snowmobile Operations
Tamarack has acquired the outfitting license to run its own snowmobiling operations this season. Leaving from the resort’s 7700-foot summit, guests will have access to more than 350 miles of groomed trails in the Payette River Mountains, along with endless miles of backcountry terrain in the Boise and Payette National Forests. Guided tour options include:
Skyline Tour—Explore groomed ridgetop trails showcasing high-mountain views, wildlife, and some of the best snow in the West. Full and half-day tours.
Hot Springs Tour—A full-day trip via snowmobile to Burgdorf Hot Springs to enjoy the soothing mineral waters, a full lunch, and a scenic tour of the backcountry.
New Runs
Two new runs for a total of 41 marked runs within 1,100 lift-accessed acres on the Tamarack Mountain. More Details »
Special Olympics World Winter Games
The World Winter Games named Tamarack Resort site of the global competition’s snowboard events for 2009. In February 2008 Tamarack will play host to the Special Olympics Invitational Games, which brings hundreds of athletes from around the world to Idaho to prepare for the World Games the following year. Resort Construction
Construction on the heart of the resort—Tamarack’s Village Plaza—continues with the first three buildings set to open late summer 2008, and a grand opening of all six buildings anticipated winter 2008/2009. More Details »
Real Estate
Following a seventh successful real estate release in the spring of 2007, the resort is gearing up for releasing residential condominiums in the under-construction Lodge at Osprey Meadows Lake Wing in the fall of 2007 and early 2008. More Details »
Slopeside Lodging
This winter more than 130 luxury lodging units, ranging from studio condos to four-bedroom custom estate homes, are available for guests through Tamarack Lodging Services.
The newest properties available for guest stays are located in the Whitewater Neighborhood, featuring ski-in/ski-out cottages, chalets and townhomes. More Details »
