Join Tamarack Resort Nordic & Snowshoe Center and Winter Wildlands Alliance to explore ways to enjoy winter and to become more active. Winter Trails is a national event that offers those new to snow sports an opportunity to try snowshoeing and/or cross country skiing FREE. Cross country skiing and snowshoeing are excellent forms of low-risk, low impact aerobic exercise, according to SnowSports Industries America (SIA), a national non-profit trade association that represents product suppliers. Information provided through SIA indicates that both activities can help improve or maintain cardiovascular fitness as well as burn calories.
