FAQ
What's USASA?
Check them out on their website. It's a national organization with 29 series. By competing in your own division, you can vie to go to Nationals and compete against the whole gang.
How much does being a USASA member cost?
It costs $65 to become a full-fledged USASA member. It's important that you become a member in order to qualify for nationals.
How do I register for USASA?
It's not tricky! Go on the "internet" and check out the USASA link for Join. Be sure to follow the instructions. When you register, you will be added to the database and when your register for individual competitions day-of, your handle will come up in our fancy database. You can also register day of at Tamarack Resort. However, you CANNOT register for USASA with your credit card at Tamarack. We need cold hard cash or checks made out to USASA.
What division am I?
Check out the rules. It depends on your age, gender, and level of competitiveness (open)
Can I compete without being in USASA?
For the RailJam, yes. For anything else, technically no. We will sell you a "temporary" USASA membership for $35 (see payment instructions above) that will get you entry into TWO comps.
USASA stands for United States of America Snowboard Association. I ski. Is that cool?
Skiers shouldn't have to ask if they're cool. Of course it's cool. Skiers have their own divisions.
How much is each comp?
It's $25 per comp. You can only pay for one comp at a time. This $25 can be paid in cash, credit card, personal check, or tales of adventure. Checks should be made out to Tamarack Resort.
How to I register?
Come on into the Sports Dome on the morning of the comp. Registration will take place from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m..
What do I get for $25?
This cost goes to our fees to USASA, our mountain team, paying for our rails, grooming, etc.
No, really, I want something for my $25
Tamarack Resort welcomes a host of totally shradical sponsors from the Valley who graciously donate to each comp lots of killer prizes. Each bib goes into a big giant pot and I draw them out. It doesn't matter where you place, everyone has the chance to look good.
I want to compete, but I'm under 18.
Just cause you can't vote, doesn't mean we don't let you throw down. Just make sure you have a parent or guardian sign our form. Print it and bring it to the registration desk.
I'm super into this. Is there verbiage and paragraphs of legalities I can check out?
Of course. Check out the USASA Rulebook. There will be a quiz after.
Can I compete in other series?
Yup! Intermixing is totally allowed and a great way to rack up points. ROAD TRIP!

Shouldn't there be some sort of on-line internet community to go along with the PRM FreeRide Series where I can post picture of myself being awesome?
