Groups Lessons*

We offer both full day and half day AM group lessons daily for kids ages 4-14. Group lessons begin at 9:45 a.m., so arrive a little early to get checked in and geared up. Full day lessons end at 3:30 p.m. and include lunch and snacks. Half day lessons end at 12:00 p.m. and include a morning snack. (Afternoon half day lessons are not offered at this time.)

Ski Lessons for kids ages 4-14 and snowboarding lessons for kids ages 7-14

Private Lessons**

Scheduled with one instructor and up to 5 skiers AND/or riders. Private lessons allow for focused instruction tailored to the participants’ abilities & goals AND more individual feedback than semi-private lessons. Private lessons may include adults AND youth; which makes it a nice option for families.

Trailblazers Program

Trailblazers is a multi-week program consisting of five full-day lessons with our specially trained kid’s instructors and the same fun group of kids, allowing each lesson to build from the previous week. This truly allows for skiing and riding development. This program is open to skiers aged 4-14 and snowboarders 7-14. All abilities are welcome!

For this great price, Trailblazers receive a 2007-2008 season pass, lunch each day, professional instruction and a great winter experience. The Trailblazers program encourages:

• Learning and improving skiing/riding skills and techniques
• Mountain safety
• Monitored independence
• Making new friends
• Having FUN!!!

Participants in the Trailblazers program can travel aboard the Tamarack coach round-trip from Boise for free! Instructors and/or chaperones ride with students to make the trip safe, entertaining, and to continue the education process during the ride. Childcare at the Wildhorse

The Wildhorse is a state-licensed childcare center offering enriching, caring, and fun infant, toddler, and childcare for kids ages 6 months and up.

At the Wildhorse, it is our mission to keep your children happy, safe, active, and creative. We do this through a wide variety of games, puzzles, books, toys, movies, arts and crafts projects, snow play, and nutritious meals and snacks. Our programs are safe and fun while they enhance the mental, physical, and social development of the children. We are grateful and excited for the opportunity to care for the most precious thing of all…your children!

• In Foal’s Meadow (ages 6 ~ 24 months), we maintain a 1:4 caregiver to child ratio.
• The Corral (ages 2 years and up), the ratio is no more than 1:6.

**Reservations: Childcare reservations are available & strongly recommended for full & half-day care, especially on weekends and during peak seasons. They can be made by calling 208.325.1021 with the date(s) of childcare, your name and phone number, a valid credit card number, and the child’s name and age. Hourly childcare is also offered, but on a day of availability basis.

The Wildhorse is geared for the well child. We do our best to keep the Wildhorse a healthy place to visit. In keeping with this goal, we cannot accept a child with fever, vomiting, diarrhea, unexplained rash, green nasal discharge, or pink, irritated eye with or without discharge. Children exhibiting unusual symptoms will be subject to further assessment.

Nordic

First Time Children’s Lessons (Ages 7-13)

$30 per child

1 hour of striding lessons only.

Meeting Time: 1:00 pm

Child Semi-Private Lesson (Ages 3-6)

$25 per lesson

This ½ hour lesson is striding only, for 1-3 children maximum.

Youth Semi-Private Lesson (Ages 7-14)

$45 per lesson

One hour striding or skating lesson (1-3 children maximum). First timers are asked to participate in our First Time program.

Tamarack Sport Education Foundation Programs

TSEF Nordic Kids Program

The Nordic Kids Program is an afternoon program for local children. It is fun, but also a great wellness activity. It is fun, but also a great wellness activity.

$200 per child, $100 for additional family member

• Mondays and Thursdays 4:30pm - 6:30pm
• Begins January 7, 2007; ends Thursday before Spring Break
• Includes transportation, equipment, instruction, trail passes, snack
• Ages 7-14
• Coach to skier ratio 10:1

TSEF Nordic Race Team

The Race Program is for older, more serious kids who are interested in competition.

$1000 per child

This high school coaching program runs six days – Tuesday through Sunday, 12:30pm - 4:00pm.

• Custom training programs with training logs
• Coaching and video analysis
• Transport, coaching, waxing for selected races
• Coach to skier ratio 10:1
